Day 1: Arrival at Johan Adolf Pengel Inter national Airport and transfer to your hotel in plus min 1 hour.

Day 2: Breakfast – In the morning Paramaribo Walking City Tour including lunch. The capital of Suriname is Paramaribo. A city, rich of historical wooden buildings. These are since 2002 on the world heritage list of UNESCO. Walk thru the central market, the mosque, the synagogue and other remarkable buildings. The St. Peter and Paulus Basilica the oldest and highest wooden building of the Caribbean you will also visit during this historical excursion. (B/L)

Day 3: Breakfast – Back to Basic experience, a 3 day trip to the south, visit Knini Paatie. Today we depart from Paramaribo heading south. Passing the impressive giant trees and villages situated along this road. After 190 km we arrive at Atjoni the mooring place of the dug out boats. Here we start our exciting canoe trip. This trip by motorized canoe will take about 50 min to reach our destination, Knini Paatie. (B/L/D)

Day 4: Knini Paatie – After an early breakfast we`ll be heading to New Aurora by motorized dug out boats for a village walk. During the tour of the village you will discover the local population and their unique way of life, their traditional customs and habits. We will visit the church, a school and a medical post. After a delicious lunch we will continue our journey to the Maroon Museum at “Pikienslee. At Pikinslee you are given a guided tour around the beautiful ‘Saamaka Marron Museum’ to learn about the intriguing history and present culture of the Maroons of Upper Suriname.(B/L/D)

Day 5: Knini Paatie, In the morning free time to relax and you can take a refreshing dip in the river. After lunch we will start our journey back to Paramaribo (B/L)

Day 6: Breakfast – Free day to spend on your own (B)

Day 7: Breakfast – Day trip by bus to the West, Nickerie, The 2nd city of Suriname. The highlights of this tour are the historical sites of Groningen, Totness, Wageningen and Nw. Nickerie, the 2nd city of Suriname. A motorized dug out boat trip to the Bigi Pan nature reserve is a must do where you can experience a trip thru the black mangroves and wetlands. The popular Scarlet Ibes and Flamingo’s are one of the most common ones to see. (B/L)

Day 8: 2 Day trip to the East visit to ” Galibi” an Amerindian Village and spot the giant sea turtles in the middle of the night (season February-July) Enjoy the rising sun with coffee or tea on a lounger at the sandy white beach of Galibi. Discover the traditional lifestyle and explore the rich culture of the Caribe Indigenous while strolling through the village. The nightly boat trip to the sea-turtle nesting beach will make your holiday an unforgettable one. (B/L/D)
