Day 1: Arrival at Johan Adolf Pengel Inter national Airport and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2: Breakfast – In the morning Paramaribo Walking City Tour including lunch. The capital of Suriname is Paramaribo. A city, rich of historical wooden buildings. These are since 2002 on the world heritage list of UNESCO. Walk thru the central market, the mosque, the synagogue and other remarkable buildings. The St. Peter and Paulus Basilica the oldest and highest wooden building of the Caribbean you will also visit during this historical excursion. (B/L)
Day 3: Breakfast – Paramaribo -Alafasi Botopasi Lodge Maroon Culture, Nature & history are part of every activity and every adventure during this trip. After an early breakfast we will drive South. A 3 hours ride will lead us to the end of the rote, Atjoni. From here we must continue the adventure with a motorized canoe boat. The 2 hour boat trip goes through a breath-taking nature, along Maroon villages. We will pass over some Adventurious rapids before we reach our destination Botopasi. (B/L/D)
Day 4: breakfast on this day we will head to the spectaculair Tapawatra falls. Time for your natural jacuzi !
Day 5: Alafasi Botopasi – Paramaribop After beakfast we will return to Paramaribo(B/Snackbox)
Day 6: Breakfast – Free day to spend on your own (B)
Day 7: Breakfast – Trip by bus to the West, Nickerie, The 2nd city of Suriname. The highlights of this tour are the historical sites of Groningen, Totness, Wageningen and Nw. Nickerie, the 2nd city of Suriname. A motorized dug out boat trip to the Bigi Pan nature reserve is a must do where you can experience a trip thru the black mangroves and wetlands. The popular Scarlet Ibis and Flamingo’s are one of the most common ones to see. Overnight at Akira Overwater Resort (B/L/D)
Day 8: 2 Day trip to the East visit to ” Galibi” an Amerindian Village and spot the giant sea turtles in the middle of the night (season February-July) Enjoy the rising sun with coffee or tea on a lounger at the sandy white beach of Galibi. Discover the traditional lifestyle and explore the rich culture of the Caribe Indigenous while strolling through the village. The nightly boat trip to the sea-turtle nesting beach will make your holiday an unforgettable one. (Turtle Season May-June-July-August) (B/L/D)
