Day 1: Arrival at Johan Adolf Pengel Inter national Airport and transfer to your hotel

Day 2: Breakfast – In the morning Paramaribo Walking City Tour including lunch. The capital of Suriname is Paramaribo. A city, rich of historical wooden buildings. These are since 2002 on the world heritage list of UNESCO. Walk thru the central market, the mosque, the synagogue and other remarkable buildings. The St. Peter and Paulus Basilica the oldest and highest wooden building of the Caribbean you will also visit during this historical excursion. (B/L)

Day 3: Breakfast- Bergendal Resort Nature and history are part of every activity and every adventure in and around the Eco Camp; Cultural BERGENDAL River Resort. Guests will be pleasantly surprised by the tropical charm, the unique architecture and the pleasant-looking balance between natural materials and modern elements. Beautiful low rise lodges offer views of the tropical landscape and the Suriname River, while the impressive high -altitude lodges positioned against the mountain slope to, offer a privileged view. A trip to relax on your own before the real adventure begins. (B/L/D)

Day 4: Bergendal Resort-Anaula. This beautiful resort with swimming pool is situated on the shores of an island in the upper Suriname River, at the foot of the Felulassi Rapid. It is a comfortable and unique resort in the Amazon rainforest with beautiful flora and fauna and fascinating Maroon culture. A one and a half hour bus ride will lead us to Atjoni. From here we will continue our trip with a motorized canoe boat to Anaula. Resort. The 1 hour boat trip goes through a breath-taking nature, along Maroon villages and the Jaw Jaw Rapid. Once at the resort you will get an explanation of the Saramaccan culture and the environment. (B/L/D)

Day 5: After breakfast we will visit Nieuw Auror a, a Maroon village . Here you get to know the locals and their unique and traditional lifestyle. A Visit to the church, a school and medical care are also on todays program (B/L/D)

Day 6: Breakfast – Free morning to spend on your own. After Lunch we will return to Paramaribo (B/L)

Day 7: Free to spend on your own. You can visit downtown for shopping (B)

Day 8: Breakfast – Departure to airport (B)
